Zeng Yi

Mr. Zeng Yi is a world-renowned master photographer and curator living in China, who has received the highest honor and achievement recognition from the State Council. He holds many positions, such as Professor and Honorary Curator of the Art Museum of Shandong University of Art and Design, President of Mo-tse International Image Research Institute, and President of the Eastern International Photography Art Association.

He has won numerous international and domestic awards since the 1980’s, such as “Cultural Center of Asia Award" by UNESCO, “Ross International Photography Award for Outstanding Contribution” by PPA, and “Sungkyunkwan Art Award” in South Korea.

Zeng Yi has published and edited many art and photography books and albums, including The Great Saint Confucius, Destiny, International Professional Photographers Excellent Works Collection, and James Natchwey, Josef Koudelka, Jerry Uelsmann and 40 Chinese Photographers.

He has served as a judge/juror for many international and domestic exhibitions and has long been engaged in curating and organizing major exhibitions and international exchanges, such as exhibitions of work by James Natchwey, Josef Koudelka, Zhang Zhaotang and Vivian Maier. He was the chief planner and curator of the “Jinan International Contemporary Photography Biennale” and “Beijing International Photography Week.”
